Error Codes & Troubleshooting
Common errors you may see in the bot, what they mean, and how to fix them.
| Error | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Chain network error | Temporary RPC node instability on Polygon | Auto-resolves. The bot retries automatically. No action needed unless it persists for more than 10 minutes. |
| Insufficient balance / allowance | USDC.e balance is too low to fund the trade | Check your balance in the bot. Deposit more USDC.e. You do not need MATIC — PolyCop covers gas. |
| Order placement failed | Thin order book — not enough liquidity at the requested price | Adjust your limit price or increase your slippage tolerance. Alternatively, wait for better market depth. |
| Contract call failed / withdrawal error | Smart contract execution issue | Restart the bot and try again. If the issue persists, bring your transaction hash to the support group. |
| Copy task stopped / no notifications | Task paused, Telegram blocked, or target wallet inactive | 1) Verify the task is active in the bot. 2) Check Telegram hasn't blocked the bot. 3) Confirm the wallet you're copying has recent activity on Polymarket. |
| Market not settling | Polymarket settlement delay — not a PolyCop issue | This is a Polymarket platform process. Wait for Polymarket to distribute winnings. Typically resolves within hours of market resolution. |
| Trade below minimum | Calculated trade size is under the minimum threshold | Enable "round up to minimum" in copy trading settings, or increase your copy percentage / fixed amount so calculated trades exceed $1 (market) or 5 shares (limit). |
| Limit order not filling | Market price hasn't reached your limit price | This is expected behavior for limit orders. Adjust the price offset or switch to market orders if speed is more important than price. |
Frequently Asked Questions
What is PolyCop and what does it do?
PolyCop is a Telegram bot that connects directly to Polymarket's prediction markets. It lets you automate three core strategies: copy trading (replicate top wallet trades automatically), sniper orders (place instant market or limit orders in milliseconds), and AFK auto-trade (run rule-based strategies 24/7 without manual intervention).
Is PolyCop an official Polymarket product?
PolyCop is an Official Polymarket Partner — it uses Polymarket's official infrastructure and APIs, but is an independent product, not built by Polymarket itself.
What are the minimum requirements to start?
You need a Telegram account and a deposit of at least $10 (bridge minimum) or $50 (recommended for copy trading). No account registration, no KYC, and no subscription fee.
How do I get started?
Open @PolyCop_BOT on Telegram. The bot will walk you through wallet creation and your first deposit. Your private key is generated locally inside your Telegram session and never transmitted to PolyCop's servers.
What networks and tokens does PolyCop support?
Deposits are accepted from Polygon, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and BSC. Supported tokens are USDC and USDT. Depositing USDC.e directly on Polygon Network is always free. All trading on Polymarket is denominated in USDC on Polygon.
How do I withdraw my funds?
In the bot, go to Wallet → Withdraw. Enter your Polygon address and the amount. Gas fees for withdrawal are covered by PolyCop — you don't need MATIC.
How do I set up copy trading?
In the bot, navigate to Copy Trading and add a target wallet address or Polymarket profile link. Configure your parameters (copy percentage or fixed amount, spend limits, order type), then activate the task. The bot runs in the cloud — you don't need to keep Telegram open.
Can I copy multiple wallets at the same time?
Yes. PolyCop supports copying multiple addresses simultaneously with full isolation — trades from Address A will never accidentally close positions opened by Address B. Each copied trade carries an internal tag for its source wallet.
What copy percentage should I use?
It depends on the type of trader you're copying. For stable professional traders, 10–20% is recommended with a Max Spend Per Trade cap. For whales, filter out trades below $500–$1,000. For high-frequency bots, use a low fixed amount. See the Best Settings guide for detailed profiles.
Why is my copy task not firing any trades?
The most common reason is that the target wallet hasn't traded recently. Check the wallet's activity directly on Polymarket. Also verify: your copy task is active, your balance is above the minimum required to execute the calculated trade size, and Telegram hasn't blocked the bot.
What is the minimum order size?
Market orders: $1 minimum. Limit orders: 5 shares minimum. If a calculated copy trade falls below these thresholds, you can enable "round up to minimum" in your task settings.
Does copy trading work while I'm offline?
Yes. Copy tasks run entirely in PolyCop's cloud infrastructure. You do not need to have Telegram open or your device active. Trades fire automatically whenever the target wallet executes on Polymarket.
What are the three wallet addresses in PolyCop?
PolyCop generates three distinct addresses for you: Trading Address — used for gasless trade execution on Polymarket; Deposit Address — for receiving cross-chain transfers from other networks; Original Wallet — your login credentials (keep this private).
How long does a deposit take?
Direct USDC.e deposits on Polygon Network are typically confirmed within seconds. Cross-chain bridge transfers from other networks (ETH, Arbitrum, OP, Base, BSC) may take 5–20 minutes depending on the bridge and network congestion.
Do I need MATIC (POL) in my wallet?
No. PolyCop sponsors all Polygon gas fees. Your USDC.e balance is all you need. Do not send MATIC to your trading address.
Can I import my PolyCop wallet into MetaMask?
Yes. You can export your private key from the bot and import it into MetaMask to access your Polymarket positions directly or manage funds manually. Treat your private key with the same security you would any crypto wallet — never share it.
Are there any deposit fees?
No. PolyCop charges zero deposit fees. Depositing USDC.e on Polygon is entirely free. For cross-chain transfers, only the standard third-party bridge fees apply — PolyCop takes nothing.
What is PolyCop's trading fee?
PolyCop charges a flat 0.5% fee on executed trades (buys, sells, and redemptions). This is 4× cheaper than Polymarket's native interface which charges 2%. There are no subscription fees, no withdrawal fees, and no charge for unfilled orders.
When exactly does PolyCop deduct fees?
Fees accumulate across your trades. They are deducted in a single batch transaction once your cumulative trading volume reaches $600. This means you won't see individual micro-deductions after every trade.
Is there a referral program?
Yes. Send /referrals to the bot to get your unique link. You earn 25%–45% of all trading fees generated by traders you refer — for as long as they remain active, with no cap.
How can I verify the fees I've been charged?
All transactions are recorded on-chain. You can enter your non-custodial trading address into Polygonscan to see a complete history of every fee deduction independently.
Is PolyCop safe? Is my money secure?
PolyCop uses a non-custodial architecture. Your private key is generated inside your Telegram session and never transmitted to PolyCop's servers. There is nothing stored server-side that can be hacked to steal your funds. In January 2026, a rival bot (Polycule) was hacked for $230,000 because it stored user keys on a server. PolyCop was completely unaffected — because that attack vector doesn't exist in PolyCop's design.
How do I recognize official PolyCop communications?
The only legitimate bot is @PolyCop_BOT. The only official support group is t.me/PolyCop_Users. PolyCop admins will never message you first. Any unsolicited message claiming to be from PolyCop support is a scam.
What should I do if I think I've been scammed?
If you believe you've interacted with a scammer: 1) Do not send any more funds. 2) Report the scammer account to Telegram. 3) If you shared your private key, transfer any remaining funds to a fresh wallet immediately. 4) Join the official support group t.me/PolyCop_Users and report what happened — the community can help verify whether an account is legitimate.
Can PolyCop access or move my funds without my knowledge?
No. PolyCop only executes trades and withdrawals that you explicitly authorize through the bot — either manually or by activating an automated task (copy trading, sniper, or AFK). The bot cannot initiate arbitrary transfers to external addresses without your instruction.
What happens if PolyCop's servers go down?
Your funds remain in your non-custodial Polymarket wallet — they are not held by PolyCop. If the bot is temporarily unavailable, your funds are unaffected. You can always access your positions directly through Polymarket's website using your private key.
